I saw this post a few days ago and I have been dwelling on it so many times ever since.
I am in a waiting season and I know many others are as well.
Waiting is hard, especially when God has given you the vision for something.
He’s already shown you what’s possible, but He’s saying “not yet.”
You’re believing for it and believing that it’s coming, but He’s still working and still orchestrating things in the background.
Like when Abraham went to offer Isaac, God was also preparing the Ram. The Ram also had to get into position and it also had to walk up that mountain.
Waiting differently is hard, because often we feel like we are supposed to be doing something to make it happen. While yes, we do have to put in the work, there is still some things we have to step back and watch the Lord work in the situation.
Obedience is key, and there may be something that you must do, but we must also remember to stand still and take our hands off of it when God says it is time to do so.
Relinquishing that control and just trusting Him… can’t there be another way?
No, because this is the only way we will learn to truly trust Him.
It’s the only way to learn to rest in the knowledge that God’s got this.
Most of the time we continuously point to our flaws, faults, and failures as the reason we are waiting, but I don’t believe that is always the case.
I believe that waiting at some point will be a part of every Christians journey.
It is about endurance to run your race with patience.
It is about God doing a work in our life for His glory, because when God gets the glory He always works it out for our good.
So, let’s wait differently.
Let’s lay aside the burden and weight of the wait.
Let’s not grow weary and faint.
Let’s always look for the good and the positive in the waiting.
Let’s remember that God loves us deeply and He gives good gifts.
Whatever you are waiting on will be worth the wait.
Don’t let discouragement get you off course.
If you have lost some of your faith I urge you right now to allow God to reignite your faith.
If you have lost some of your hope I urge you to believe again. To bring that promise back to the front of your mind and to begin to hope again.
You may wait for a long time, but you will not wait forever.
It’s not hopeless.
It’s not too big for God.
It doesn’t matter what others have said.
Stay steady, stay focused, and stay still in His Presence.
He’s showed it to you for a reason…wait differently… He is on time.
Read this scripture. Hide it in your heart. Hold on to the promise and know that He will strengthen and renew you in your journey.
